BGRIMM (Beijing General Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy), founded in 1956, is one of the large state technology corporation directly under the Central Administrations of National Government. BGRIMM is among top ranking large national research institutes in China in terms of comprehensive science strength and operational performance. It has first engaged in R&D and promotion of thermal spraying materials and technologies since 1960sĄŻ, which contributes a lot to thermal spraying industries in China. BGRIMM is the director of Chinese Thermal spraying Association established in 1981 by the original China Economic Development Committee associated with the original China Science &Technology Development Committee.

Sub-institute of Metal Materials (SIMM) is one of the main branches of BGRIMM, which is specially engaged in R&D and promotion of thermal spraying materials. In recent twenty years, we have achieved more than twenty item awards in special powder materials and manufactures on the state or ministerial level since we own a professional R&D team including 56 professionals and more than 100 workers, of which there are 9 professors, 7 senior engineers, 5 Doctors and 23 Masters. Now we have a Special Powder Center workshop with 6700 square meters, over a hundred thermal spraying material products, and several specialized production lines.
